Hi, I am Dr. Arielle Skoryk!

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my practice. I am a licensed psychologist in New Jersey (#35SI00621200) and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

With over a decade of experience, I have worked extensively in both school and clinical settings, developing and implementing therapeutic programs that have positively impacted numerous children facing behavioral and emotional challenges. I am specially trained to respond to behavioral and mental health crises and have held a leadership role in an urban public school district in New Jersey, where I led the implementation of an innovative Multi-Tiered System of Supports program. I also have several years of experience as a part-time lecturer and supervisor at Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.

As the founder of See the Strengths LLC, a small private practice in New Jersey, I use a unique, evidence-based approach to empower children, teens, and young adults. My work is driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of targeted support and a compassionate understanding of the challenges young people face. I value close collaboration with parents and schools to create lasting, meaningful change.

I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Scranton and earned both my Master’s and Doctorate in Psychology from Rutgers University. I’ve been honored to receive the Robert Weitz Award and the Virginia Bennett Award for excellence in my field.

On a personal note, I’m the proud mother of two wonderful children and have a deep love for the outdoors and all things nature.

Through years of experience working with children, families & educators I have developed a core set of principles that guide my practice…

It is important to build upon strengths

Symptom reduction is important, but I find that it tends to occur naturally when people recognize their own strengths and abilities. I focus on building upon the good that already exists.

People learn best from those they trust and respect

I strive to build an authentic and meaningful connection with each person that I work with. I also work collaboratively with the important adults in a child’s life.

Best practices deliver best results

The implementation of evidence-based therapeutic interventions is necessary to achieve optimal results. I integrate best practice treatments/approaches (CBT, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed) to meet the unique needs of each person.
